Ty's Favorite Christmas Songs
Dolly Parton - “I Believe in Santa Claus”
The amazing Dolly has been releasing music left and right recently, so I decided to dig deep into her classics and post the gem I grew up with. 80’s inspired backbeats and a Kenny Rogers feature, it’s THE classic Christmas track that I think of when I think of my earliest (Iowa) Christmases.
Amy Grant - “Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song)”
Amy Grant is the reigning queen of Christmas. Her traditional Christmas jams always get the family in the spirit. So many of us have made her annual holiday concerts a part of our celebration. Her Christmas mix has great classics and originals that always bring back the nostalgia.
Luke Bryan - “O Holy Night”
Who knew Luke Bryan would bring all the holiday feels!? This is an entirely different tone for Luke. He usually serves upbeat country tunes, but shows his fans an intimate side by releasing this slow and traditional song for Christmas. It’s a MUST for your Christmas playlist.
Danny Gokey - “Until You”
This recently Grammy-nominated artist just released a Christmas album and is definitely a breath of fresh air in his take of Christmas songs. He has a mix of classics and originals that really struck me, but this song in particular really touched me.
Keith Urban - “I’ll Be Your Santa”
The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year brings in some specific holiday vibes with this one! Its fun, you can dance! Play it for bae, and it will likely bring some extra Christmas cheer!
Loretta Lynn - “Country Christmas”
Loretta’s voice shines through in this song. Her folksy touch on this song is incredible - it’s been on repeat for days.
Brett Eldredge - “Blue Christmas”
Brett’s Christmas album has been one of my favorites for years, but this song has always been such an amazing song that gets me every time. Brett’s emotion in this song pours out and it’s definitely my favorite song on the album.
Thomas Rhett – “Christmas in the Country”
This is a NEW Christmas song that has the magical holiday staying-power of holiday classics! It represents every storybook Christmas, and yet it feels personal and is easy to sing along with! How lucky are Willa and Ada that their dad will share the holidays with everyone’s family for years to come…
Faith Hill - “Where Are You Christmas”
This song is absolutely a classic. How the Grinch Stole Christmas has to be the kids’ favorite Christmas movie, they even ask to watch it over the summer. The kids absolutely love this song, so obviously, it’s one of my favorites too.
Liddy Clark - “Do You Hear What I Hear”
I’m a huge fan of this song. The unique track really lets Liddy’s voice shine through. I do hear what you hear and I’m loving it!
Riley Roth - “Silver Bells”
Riley is bringing something completely different to country music, and this song gives us a little taste of what she’s all about. Riley blends country with a beautiful R&B voice that is par to none.
